By the way, anyone know a great FREE imaging program that lets you resize images without pixelation, etc?

So the image is just like an exact copy of the larger image, only smaller?

This image is just a lil soft, your focus is a little off. A nice flower almost looks like a pink llittle egg in there.

Well honestly I don't know...I use Macromedia Fireworks, not free, but...

About the image...Nice one, a little bit out off focus...

Marielle try GIMP it is free and works very well IMO, just search google for GIMP and you will find it. It is open source which means that there are tons of plugins that you can download.

I like the color of this rose and I also enjoy the background but try creating some interesting compositions by off-centering the flower. You'll do better with focus if you use a tripod with close-up shots. Camera shake will be all but eliminated. As for noise problems, try using Neat Image to reduce it. It works well on most photos.

MsMichelleLynn: Hi, thanks for the tips. Unfortunately after asking dad for the camera, (which must have been quite expensive, I believe!) I don't think I'll ask him for a tripod just yet.
It would be a little awkward for me, though, because the photos I take are of the flowers in my mum's garden, and we have a slopping driveway and I don't think I could get out of the way of the car quickly enough if I had a tripod to carry too!! Also It wouldn't be able to balance properly and things.
Mainly my photos are taken in *very* strange positions, balancing on ledges, in between rose thorns, etc.
Sometimes it's a little annoying when they aren't perfect, but for the moment I don't mind.

Also, thank you for the advice about the off-centering, I'll try that!

I have downloaded Neat Image, and it sort of didn't really help at all for one of my severly noise-y photos. I will try again though.
At the moment I use Serif PhotoPlus 6.0, it's a freeware program and very good.
